First autumn frost

In autumn the influence of heating from water bodies is prominent along sea shores, by the large lakes, and in the province of Jämtland, northern Sweden, where a depression allows warm winds from the Atlantic to pass the mountain range. The interior parts of southern and northern Sweden, on the other hand, have early autumn frosts resulting in shorter growing seasons.
